Cooking with homegrown herbs and plants helps establish a symbiotic relationship with the earth. When we are in touch with our surroundings, we can become more present in the now and appreciative of what we have around us. My lovely friend Sam gave me an enormous bundle of her home grown herbs from the kindness of her sweet soul. I had a kitchen full of rosemary, french lavender, lemon balm, peppermint, you name it!
